What are parents' main worries when their kids aren't doing well in school or are getting picked on?
Many parents of students who are in traditional school worry about their children when their academic scores drop and not truly knowing if the student is having actual issues grasping the information or just is not trying and numerous other concerns. New Life Academy helps to make these worries go away by keeping parents in the loop each and every step of the way. If a student's grades go down the instructors will attempt to work with the student to make improvement, but if things seem to not be working then a conference meeting is made with the instructor, student, and parents to work together collectively to find a solution or accommodation to help the student improve in their academics. Parents that worry because their child has been picked on or bullied in traditional school has the fear of the mental health of their child.
What are the biggest positive changes you see in students at New Life Academy?
We see students who seemed emotionally beat down from lack of encouragement or being bullied come out of their shell and become lively. We see students who rarely smiled open up and smile and laugh and become talkative. Nearly every student we have enrolled comes to us pretty much in a depressed state but before things are over they are happy, having fun, and improving in many ways.
